Monotypes - Ev Hales. All images are Copyright
The monotypes are part of the "Patterns from Life" exhibition at McGees Gallery Mornington February 23rd - March 3rd. This art form has a wonderful immediacy about it that captures the fleeting character of our urban life. Each image is a unique, single image although they part or all of their process has gone though a printing press. SOme are embossed as apart of the image, not shown here others have been over painted. All have strong design elements as well as subtle tonal control which results in the dramatic images shown.
